Susan G. Komen of Central & South New Jersey Donation Letter From Valarie

Thank you for scanning the QR code and visiting my blog. This is probably the largest effort I've taken to raise money for a cause. I am hoping to personally bring in a few large companies as executive sponsors. As stated in my letter we are looking for both monetary donations in general and raffle items. Goal:  Reduce current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% within the next decade.



A little about my efforts. Annually, I work on a winter warmth drive to benefit The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. This past December I was able to partner with the One Dollar Zone in Princeton/Burlington New Jersey, Waxing the City in Princeton, NJ and a Toll House Brothers Complex. Occasionally, I make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for soup kitchens. Also, I have worked as a volunteer with Dress For Success, Home Front, CHOP, and Toastmasters. I know there is more I can do and I'm working on growing my efforts. I also do amateur photography/cinematography on the side. I graduated from Rutgers and studied abroad in South Africa.

I would love to make commercials and create advertisements. I have a degree in Market Research and management information systems from Rutgers. I'm a vegan and I aspire to start a non profit which helps provide homeless individuals with personal hygiene products and showers.

Costume: Easy DIY Devo Energy Dome Under $3

This (hat) energy dome is inspired by the 80ies band Devo's hit song, "Whip it". Devo Whip - Song If you are looking for a fun 80ies costume or you just really love Devo here is a great way to recreate the energy dome! The materials I used will be listed below. See my 30 second #DIY #Costume video here: I cut my shapes out free hand, but if you use a foam circle or measuring rulers the appearance can be fined tuned! Best Costumes 2015? Wear Costumes All Year!

Are costumes just for October? I think not! I love costumes and I think dressing up is tons of fun. I've recently took an active approach towards creating my own photography business. I realized there are little things you can do to differentiate/add value to your business. "Elvis" and Val in Vegas 2015 One way is your style of dress. Clean and professional appearances are essential for business, but what about when you are working with a younger audience or a themed party? What if an option for one of your service provides (Photographer/DJ) showed up at your child's superhero themed party as their archenemy? Maybe even their counterparts? I've seen how costumes even generate smiles on adults when I visited Fremont Street in Las Vegas Nevada. Impersonators were everywhere and everyone wanted to take pictures with them...I did too. I also attended the Evo gaming tournament and cosplay was very popular their too. So don't let October be the only time y...
